Sander joined AlpInvest Partners in 2001 from the Boston Consulting Group, where he was a project leader, responsible for leading assignments for the boards of multinational firms. Previously, he had been a product development manager for Procter & Gamble responsible for new product development and the introduction of new consumer products to the European market. Based in Hong Kong, Sander is responsible for sourcing and executing Asian co-investments.

Sander received an MS in chemical engineering from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD.
