Maarten joined AlpInvest Partners in 2000 from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a senior executive manager of strategy and organizational design. Bringing nearly 20 years of experience to his role at AlpInvest Partners, Maarten is responsible for executing the EU fund program and supporting the co-investment and secondary investment groups.

Maarten received an MA in economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and holds advisory board seats for firms including Candover, Terra Firma, Barclays, Charterhouse, Alpha, Bain Capital, Atria, Cinven, CVC, TDR, and Graphite.
