Iain joined AlpInvest Partners in 2000 from Dresdner Kleinwort Benson (DKB), where he was the managing investment partner responsible for US direct buyout transactions and an Executive Committee member for the global private equity business. Previously, he was director of investment banking at Kleinwort Benson Ltd., where he was responsible for restructuring leveraged buyouts and venture capital transactions. Bringing more than 30 years of related experience to AlpInvest Partners, Iain is responsible for North American co-investments. Iain is a member of AlpInvest Partners Executive Committee and a founder of the Firm.

Iain received an MBA from Brunel University in England and is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom. He is also a board member of The Nielsen Company.
