Erik joined AlpInvest Partners in 2000 from the Firm's predecessor, Parnib, where he was an investment manager responsible for deal execution with a focus on Benelux mid-market private equity transactions. Previously, Erik was a financial analyst with NIBC Bank in London, where he was involved in numerous leveraged finance transactions. At AlpInvest Partners, Erik is responsible for co-investment and mezzanine activities in Europe.

Erik received a MA in business economics with a specialization in finance and strategy from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
